iCARE4CVD has been featured in Open Access Government, highlighting how the project is bringing together health data, biomarkers, patient perspectives and artificial intelligence to advance more personalised approaches to cardiovascular care.
The article, “From one-size-fits-all to personalised cardiovascular care: How iCARE4CVD is turning data into better care,” takes readers through the different pieces of the iCARE4CVD research pathway – and, importantly, how they connect.
It explores how the consortium is bringing together data from large and diverse patient cohorts through a federated database, investigating biological markers and patient-reported information, and using advanced analytics and AI to identify patterns that could help researchers better understand cardiovascular risk, disease progression and treatment response.
These insights are not intended to remain within datasets and computer models. A key part of iCARE4CVD is translating promising findings into tools that can be tested and validated in clinical settings, helping to bridge the gap between cardiovascular research and its potential use in practice.
The feature also highlights the collaborative effort behind this work. iCARE4CVD brings together expertise from across clinical research, data science, technology, industry and patient communities to tackle questions that no single discipline could address alone.
